My Father’s Place will join a lineup of great talent on November 16 when it is inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
Among the other honorees:
Lou Reed -Influential rock singer and song-writer. He’s best known for hits like “Sweet Jane” and ”Walk on the Wild Side” and his work with the Velvet Underground.
The Shangri-Las -A girl group famous in the 60′s and 70′s with hits like ”Leader of the Pack” and “Remember (Walking in the Sand)”
Al Kooper – One of the founders of Blood, Sweat and Tears and creator of Super Session with himself, Stephen Stills and Mike Bloomfield. Also worked with Bob Dylan and The Blues Project.
Eddie Palmieri - A nine-time Grammy winner, an extraordinary pianist who was extremely influential in Latin Jazz fusion.
Oscar Brand – Folk singer, songwriter and author, who recorded over 100 albums, he’s worked with Leadbelly, Woody Guthrie, Josh White, The Weavers and Pete Seeger.
