In 1975, George Frayne aka Commander Cody posed with Eppy in classic Wo Hop t-shirts. I’m happy to report that our favorite Chinatown haunt is still kickin’ – open 24/7, no credit cards and fantastic food. We celebrated publication of Fun & Dangerous with a feast to remember. Anybody have a story that involves this infamous music industry hangout?

The Runaways stormed New York in 1976. Their raw energy and unrefined talent was obvious to everyone.
I remember thinking they were wild teenagers just like me.
And I admired that!

Eppy was eloquent and ebullient! He basked in the love of his family, friends and associates. It was fun and chaotic – just like the club. He signed books and met and greeted admirers. All good.
I commissioned this artwork to commemorate the induction into the LI Hall of Fame. My old pal, “Pistol” is a NYC artist with roots in 70s NYC graffiti. In addition to the photos, he re-imagined an image of Steve Ray Vaughn that was shot by Lonny Jarrett at the club.
The companion CD to Fun & Dangerous ( produced by Eppy) contains some of the finest and long forgotten concerts that were broadcast on WLIR. Want to hear Eddie Money sing that he wants to be a rock ‘n star? Hear Ian Hunter chant “the Island rocks and Eppy’s cool!” during Cleveland Rocks? Bromberg? The Good Rats? Daryl Hall & John Oates in 1979… it’s all part of the Fun & Dangerous package.
Just as the new book was cleared from US Custom’s today, Eppy was finishing the final edits on the CD of great music from the WLIR-FM broadcasts. Tomorrow they are being duplicated and this weekend the project team will be gently affixing them to the back covers of the limited editions. (Hopefully, without beer stains on your copy!) The press is hungry for a list of songs – but Eppy is wants everyone here and on Facebook to know the tracks first. Check back in the next day or two… you won’t be disappointed!

Hello everyone. Steve Rosenfield, the co-author of Fun & Dangerous checking in.
The book is finally finished! They’ve been lovingly printed, carefully packed in boxes and are crossing the Atlantic in a container ship right now. Eppy and his associates are busy securing rights to some extraordinary MFP performances for the CD. Please check back in on November 2nd, because we’re going public with exciting news. My Father’s Place will join a lineup of great talent on November 16 when it is inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
Among the other honorees:
Lou Reed -Influential rock singer and song-writer. He’s best known for hits like “Sweet Jane” and ”Walk on the Wild Side” and his work with the Velvet Underground.
The Shangri-Las -A girl group famous in the 60′s and 70′s with hits like ”Leader of the Pack” and “Remember (Walking in the Sand)”
Al Kooper – One of the founders of Blood, Sweat and Tears and creator of Super Session with himself, Stephen Stills and Mike Bloomfield. Also worked with Bob Dylan and The Blues Project.
Eddie Palmieri - A nine-time Grammy winner, an extraordinary pianist who was extremely influential in Latin Jazz fusion.
Oscar Brand – Folk singer, songwriter and author, who recorded over 100 albums, he’s worked with Leadbelly, Woody Guthrie, Josh White, The Weavers and Pete Seeger.
